A reliable travelmate

In our fast changing world technology has play a vital role in our daily lives. Traveling even in an unknown place these days has become very convenient. Being new to my current adopted home town, roaming around becomes a common problem just like anyone. But thanks to this new digital travel mate, my Tomtom GPS. With almost 100% of the roads are covered I can confidently drive and roam to almost anywhere in Europe or in the world where the digital maps are available. When my family went to Helsinki we had booked in a hotel that is right in the city center and being first time to drive to this city, it would have been impossible for us to get there without our travelmate who not only show us in the screen but also accurately tells us with the voice enabled when to turn left and when to turn right and how far we are to our destination. The same thing happened when we went the first time in Stockholm. This travelmate has also become so useful when my in-laws visited us recently. It not only show the roadmap but also vital points of interest (POI’s) in different categories from churches, golf courses, hotels, restaurants, cash machines, museums, beaches, refueling stations, rest areas, etc. Today whenever friends invite us to their home, I don’t ask for directions anymore rather I just ask for their address and with just few clicks, there our Tomtom showing us in details the precise location. And don’t worry when you get lost and not able to follow Tomtom’s direction, immediately he will calculate again the shortest route for you from your current location. And to avoid being caught of overspeeding from the traffic cameras, this travelmate warns you beforehand when approaching a camera. Amazing isn’t it? I should say that this gadget is a must for every explorer.

This is really cool gadget as everytime the classmates of our kids invite them for party’s we don’t have to worry at all how to get there as long as we have the house & street numbers. :-)

i remember our Sammallahdenmaki experience, such a far-away place, and not one of us had an idea where it was! only that it belonged to the Lappi district, and it is a Unesco heritage site! wonderful gadget it is! :)
